I know, many of you are wondering, Jon, what happened to you and your interest in Mariah Carey? Yes, well, the fact is I have been less interested in her music, mostly because of it becoming more hip-hop/R&B oriented. One thing that I found however is that practically any type of music will grow on you, and the fact remains that there isn’t much music out there that interests me anymore. So I started listening to “The Emancipation of Mimi” album again and found that there are several songs on it that I do like. So what this means is that I have to pursue my dream of meeting her. I won’t go much further, many of you probably do not want to know much more than that anyway. So be ready, the new album, E=MC² comes out April 15.

Flight to Orlando

I’m taking a short vacation in Orlando, it is both business and pleasure. I get to meet some of my co-workers for the first time since I have been working remotely from Pittsburgh for my brother and his company SCM Solutions. I will also be visiting Disney World (again) for 3 days. I really enjoyed the flight. Hopefully I’ll have a good time too.

Blu-ray Wins

I’m very happy that blu-ray has defeated HD DVD for the next generation video format. All the money that I put into a Playstation 3 has now paid off. I’m laughing at those who lost faith in Sony, the most innovative and original company in the world. Why do they call it blu-ray? Because the laser uses blue light which has a shorter wavelength than DVD, which allows 6-7 times the capacity per disk. click here for more info

Flight Simulator X Review

For some reason I bought Flight Simulator X (only available for PC) and it’s ok, but landing is impossible…it is also very difficult to see out the plane, I guess they designed the planes that way.  There should be some assistance for lining up with the runway, I get the feeling that for the life of me I won’t be able land no matter how much I try.

Otherwise the graphics are decent and the game is very realistic. I give it a 7 out of 10.
